HISTORY

The Mohawk Club began it's activities with Mr. Harrington as sponsor, fifteen charter members, and the following officers: president, Stanley Kruszyna; vice-president, C. Oliver Rabouin; secretary, John E. Morgan; treasurer, F. Harry Hurlbut.
The first regular meeting was held in room 27 of the Normal building on Nov. 17, 1924. At this meeting it was voted to hold the meetings every Monday evening at 7:45.
On March 17, 1925, the club held it's first social. Early in the evening a short entertainment was given by members of the club and immediately after, dancing was enjoyed in the library. The library was attractively decorated and the Mohawk banner was presented at that time. The social was brought to a successful close by the singing of Auld Lang Syne, the club song.
The members have received valuable training in giving short talks before the club and have heard interesting and valuable talks by members of our faculty. The club has done more; it has bound together a group of men with ties that will last for all time.
